Day 1 & 2: New Delhi
Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India. New Delhi is a diverse city blending the old and the new. Our Representative will receive you at airport and will escort you to your hotel.
Visit Old Delhi city that includes Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, the massive Red sandstone Fort is synonymous with Delhi and is proof of the glory of the flourishing Mughal Empire in Delhi. Explore ChandniChowk (Moonlight Square) is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi on a rickshaw ride.
Explore the famous attractions of New Delhi that include India Gate, President House, Lotus temple, Humayun’s Tomb, QutubMinar etc.
Day 3 & 4: Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, head to Agra from Delhi.
Check in to luxurious hotel and take a short break in the hotel.
Agra, beautifully situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors from the year 1526 to 1628, remains major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort &FatehpurSikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations. FatehpurSikri (the City of Victory) which was the capital of the Mughal Empire built during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar.
Day 5 & 6: Jaipur
Travel on a 5-6 hr journey from Agra to Jaipur.
Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, the flamboyant & colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich &colorful past, resplendent with tales of velour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber.
Amber Fort, the palace complex which stands to this date commenced under the reign of Raja Man Singh. Take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience. Go on a sightseeing tour to the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani& Mughal architecture. The centre of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Visit JantarMantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone.
Explore the lively markets of Jaipur and enjoy the day ending with a sumptuous Rajasthani dinner.
Day 7 to 9: Varanasi
Travel to New Delhi and fly to Varanasi.
Varanasi, one of the seventh holiest city of India is picturesquely situated on the banks of holy river Ganga. It is not only a very holy city for Hindus but holds a very significant association with Buddha's life & Buddhism.
Head out to the GANGA GHATS at the holy River Ganges. Witness the mesmerising and famous Ganga Aarti and immerse in the purity and spiritualism moment when the most essential rituals of Hinduism unfold with hundreds of flaming oil lamps, chants and temple bells.
Start the day with a mystical and holy experience on the river Ganges with a boat ride in the morning. Witness hundreds of pilgrims taking the holy dip and offering water to the Sun God. See the famous ghats, explore the temples of Varanasi and walk through the mesh of narrow streets that bring out the uniqueness of the city.
Explore Sarnath, the site where Gautama Buddha is said to have given his first sermon about the basic principles of Buddhism and its Archaeological Museum.
Day 10: Delhi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, travel from Varanasi to New Delhi.
